Jumpstart Feature
We’ve designed the USB-C Jumpstart feature as your ultimate safety net, ensuring you can always gain access to your home, even if the battery is completely flat.
By providing a temporary spark of power through an external source, you can wake up the Wink panel just long enough to use your credentials and get inside.
How to Perform a Jumpstart
If your Wink isn't responding due to a dead battery, follow these simple steps to get back indoors:
1. You’ll need a standard USB-C cable and a portable power bank (or even a smartphone with reverse charging).
2. Find the USB-C emergency port located on the bottom of the front panel.
3. Connect the power bank to the Wink device.
4. After a few seconds, the panel will light up.
5. Once the screen is active, use your Wink Pass or other credentials to unlock the door.
Low Battery Alert Feature
To avoid needing a jumpstart in the future, keep an eye out for the Low Battery Alerts. Its intuitive audio and visual alerts will prompt you to charge when it runs low.
There are two easy ways to check your battery level:
1. In the App:
- go to the Device tab
- select your Wink (you will see a battery icon located below it)
2. On the Device
- status LED breathes RED when woken up
- 3 fast descending tones
